Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. It's not easy to answer a question like that! A well designed 2-into-1 can perform much better than separate pipes, providing increased low/mid range torque in the rev range where most of us ride. It achieves that through inter-action between the two pipes, which plainly separate pipes cannot do. H-D and other twin-cylinder bikes around the world use a balance pipe, as a minimum, to gain those benefits and have done so since the 1960/70s.
Baffles are generally a good thing in helping to reduce noise as well as achieve good rideability, hence it isn't easy IMHO to say which of the two you mention is likely to be the better. What brand is the 2-into-1?
Here it is gattling 2-1 there are no baffles on these
I have these on now and it is in the shop getting a new high flow intake and stage v power commander
It sounds amazing but I realized there were no baffles and wondered if there was also a difference between 2-2 and 2-1 drag pipes (no baffles)
tbanks !

Most prefer the power vision tuner. Usually the two into ones work better but there are two into two systems out there that are close.
Go to Hammer Performance site. They dyno most pipes that are on the market. Some will say they use a hot motor with high lift cams so not the same as stock. No the cams with more over lap actually let the pipe come into play so you cam see how good the pipe can perform.

Its OK. When he gets older and has ringing in his ears 24/7 he will regret it. I speak from experience. I have ringing I'm mine 24/7. Its not fun. It wasn't caused by exhaust but was caused by loud noise.
Welcome to the forum from our team here in North Mississippi!
Thunder Torque Inserts will give you a gain in low and mid range torque, whether running them in stock exhaust or otherwise. They will also deepen the tone of your exhaust a bit, giving it a throatier "growl".
And because sound is so subjective, they're completely adjustable, allowing you to really work with them until you hit your personal "sweet spot". Each time you make an adjustment, you change the tone as well as the torque.
They're pretty nifty and inexpensive. Best exhaust mod when comparing results per dollar spent(18.95 for a single insert for 2-1 exhaust).
