Interesting that riding to work is a sorta big deal. It saves gas, easy to park...but it also gets in 2 freebie rides when you would normally be wasting time at a "commute". I have found some long ways to get home and some of them are just as quick but out of mainstream...and we all have an ego to nourish. John

If you have to go to work, riding your bike there is the ONLY way to go!
And because of it you won't get a single thing done today!
I rode it over to the bank at lunch, so now the afternoon is gonna REALLY drag. I think on the way home I'll take a detour and ride Five Mile Drive at the Point Defiance Park. That should be fun.

I ride to work everyday its not raining, or snowing, today was the first day I rode in the morning not having to wear a jacket, just a short sleeve shirt, it felt good to have the wind on my pits.

Be careful, though; Five Mile has a bit of road that eats bicyclists, but only if they're doing something stupid and only if they're me.[:@]Which way did you go to get to work? Backroads or (gasp!) HIGHWAY?!!?[
