1200c speedometer problems
I"m hoping to find the solution to a 1999 1200c speedometer problem. I works when first started then flashs on and off driving , works sometimes and partially sometimes.seems to work best at idle to low speed ans when the clutch is pulled in while driving. I have removed the speedometer sensor.,cleaned it and re installed with no success. the computer messages are all clear except D08 that comes 5Et to resemble the word "SET"?. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thank you.

With the bike parked and running, as the rpm's are increased the odometer begins" blink" on and off. So i'm off to see if any friends have a tester. It looks to be the problem. Thanks for the tip. I will let you know how it goes.

mmesa005 a big thanks goes out to you. A new voltage regulator fixed the problem for $33 on e-bay. I had never had a problem with my 1999- 1200 custom, I diden't even know the speedo had diagnostics! So in 3 days time I was able to find and fix the problem with your help and knowledge.. No expensive Harley shop and waiting time...thanks again. Danny60
