Default No spark

Recently put the final touches on a 2015 Sportster 48. Swapped out the tank, turn signals and headlight. Used all the stock wiring plugs and did nothing to the main harness. Now we have no spark. Did the tests according to the Clymer manual and the secondary sides read high on the coil. Purchased another coil and the new one tests the same as the old one. The manual is telling me that the ECM can not be tested. I went thru the speedo with the code checks and cleared all of them. They were the normal ones that said the O2 sensors were not being read along with turn signals not hooked up but those are all back and should be working. I did weld a couple of tabs on the frame to hold the fenders. Done this before without disconnecting the battery and all went well with that. Not sure where to go from here but straight to the dealership. Any thoughts out there?

I have put welds on a few bikes with no problems. Maybe check any wires close to the welding area and fuses. Also check all the connections under the tank if you were messing with the wires under it.

Know anybody with the same bike as yours. If so see if they will let you borrow their ECM and see if that works. I was always told to disconnect the ECM before doing any welding on the frame as it can cause spikes in the system and cause failures. Worth a try to swap it out with a borrowed one to see, as long as you are sure you have plugged everything you moved back in properly so you don't blow his ECM.

Found it! My son changed the location of the coil from under the tank to the side of the engine. By doing that, the plug wires needed switched. Glad the local dealership knew what was wrong as soon as they were told of the problem. In my defense, I did not do the relocation. Had I noticed the position of the coil towers, maybe I would have thought to check this.
