Default Air cleaner temperature

The air cleaner cover gets so hot that I have to keep my leg 2” away. Can anything be done to resolve?

Sounds odd! What year and model is your bike and has it any mods from stock?

When my bike was stock in stop & go traffic it was hot too, once I put the PCV and hurricane flow AC with no ham can and synthetic oil it cooled down a lot and runs nice and cool now.

heat rising off my pipes after I stopped has melted a hole in the rain sock on my A/C. It heated up the front of the A/C and bbq'd the sock.

You may be running too lean.

Do you have a tuner that records your air intake temperature? I have the SE heavy breather and at low rpms or idle it gets up to 147 degrees and at high rpms (5123 for example) it gets down to 109 degrees.

It’s a 2012 Tri Glide bought used, no engine mods to my knowledge. Stock headers with slip ones.
