Lately I have been noticeing what sounds like a wheel bearing thats going dry at low speed about 10 mph in first gear, or when slowing down to a stop.
2k miles on bike, never in the rain or power washer. Shifts smooth as silk.
I also thought it might be the brake caliper rubbing on the rotor, but when I apply the brakes still there. Thought it might be the drive belt also.
Not for sure what it is, it went away for awhile then yesterday I was on the interstate for about 20 miles, pulled into a state park to check it out and while cruiseing thru the park I can hear it again.
I think that taking it back to the dealer is a waste of time at this point till its a constant noise.
Anyone else hearing this type of noise on there 1200 C -07 ?
I had the same problem. The dealer relpaced the rear wheel bearings. The noise remaind.Turned out to be a dry drive belt.Get some belt lube and spay it on the drive belt.

I'll bet the sound is coming from the right side of your rear wheel. If it is, the above is the problem. It's the side of the belt rubbing on the side of the wheel pulley.
I'd be careful about putting lube on the belt as it will tend to attract dirt. The belts should not require any lube/dressing but the should be cleaned with soap and water. You might want to use your wifes toothbrush to scrub between the belt teeth.
You can find more info on lubbing the belt (or not)here if you enter "belt lube" in the Search box at the top of the page.
I am having the same problem with mine right now. It just started about 200 miles ago. I thought I had accidently sprayed some of the S100 cleaner on the brake disk, but I have sprayed it with water, and wiped it dry a couple of times since, and no change. I can only hear it after the bike is warm. 10-15 miles. It's at the dealer now (they have had it for 12 days), and they think the belt was too tight. Doesn't make sense to me as they had it for the 1000 mile service, and no one has touched it since. I now have just over 3000 miles on it, and it just started. Reading a few posts here, it sounds like some others have had issues with the rear bearings. Anyone know what the fix for this really is? I am picking up my bike from the dealor tomorrow, and I don;t have much faith they have fixed it.
