Noise when reversing

Noise when reversing
I have noticed a noise when reversing my bike in the car park with the engine off. A periodic groan sound only when reversing (not too loud but noticeable) Doesn't make the sound when going forwards - only backwards while parking. Any ideas what this might be - wheel bearing? Something to worry about?

My vote would be belt.....
Get it up on a jack and rotate the wheel in both directions while watching how the belt travels on the pulleys.
While you're at it, check for slop in the bearing, but I'm betting belt.

I am going to have to agree that this is the very first place I would look. HD has a way of over tightening them. I have had a slight noise in them even when adjusted properly.
