This was my first attempt and I have learned many lessons just from this small build. The base is made of a farriers rasp cause I worked a horse ranch for the past six years and my buddy give them to me so I wanted to make this piece my own. The piece above it is angle iron and above it is rebar. I realized late in the game that the rasp is hardened steel so I can't get a punch to even make a divot in it to drill. I guess I'll figure it out but anyway, here's some photos. And, I'm gonna clearcoat this one and leave it raw, the next one I do I'll paint it and see what it turns out like.

was gonna clearcoat this one and make another now that i got it figured out. Probably paint the next one and sand the paint off of the twists on the rebar so it's bare metal and then clear it. That way it has some contrast and stands out a little more.

just heat the desired area to dull orange and let cool naturally, (no quench)
then punch and drill to your hearts delight !!

Thanks brother! I'm still learning and I figured there was a trick to the hardened steel. Lol... Dulled the crap put of my punch and wouldn't even make a mark on the rasp. Thanks again.
