Default What year frame is this?

A dude has this for sale for a song. He claims that it is an 81’ sportster with a 87’ evo 1200 in it. But the 81 would be an iron head and I didn’t think an evo would fit.

I hope a "song" means "free", if not walk away you will end up spending more than just buying a used bike in running condition, in fact I wouldn't even bother if it was free.

I dont know for sure but if i was to give a year based on those star wheels i would say early 80s. And yeah the guy should give it to you to get it out of his garage and not have to pay to haul it off.

1st year of that oil tank is '82. rear fork is not '82 nor are those fender struts they look shovelhead style. Frankenstein's Monster

Looks like a shovel pan frame from SBF early on with the sporty motor rigged to it. Ala early Arlen Ness digger frames. Can’t blow the pic up enough to see the bottom frame plate.
