Default Welcome my new beauty!

Hey guys,

Im back on a Haley again! I tend to have issues when I get bored with toys. I often get rid of them. Seems to be a trend with me. I’ve had a Harley in every family. A couple dynas, couple Softails, a night rod, a road glide, and now,
my 3rd sporty. This one is a keeper!! No other Harley in the line up interests me more than the 48. This is, in my opinion, the most fun riding bike Harley makes. A few years ago, I had a 2013 48 and a buddy and I took a spontaneous road trip on our bikes, riding from south Florida to the Atlanta Georgia area and through the Appalachian mountains. The 48 performed FLAWLESSLY. This bike is sentimental to me because that was the best experience of my life. If I can afford to, I will always ride a sportster.

Anyway, without further ado, here’s my new baby. Picked her up for 10,300 OTD, brand new, from Treasure Cost Harley. Best dealership in Florida!

2019 48 in industrial gray.

Parts ordered:

- D&D Bobcat
- Screaming eagle high flow air cleaner
- Power vision tuner
- Biltwell HB tuck n roll seat
- Passenger pegs and bracket
- Burley 20” sissy bar
- Biltwell Frisco bars
- HD get a grip grips in black
- Shinzo 777’s white walled front and rear

So stoked!! Can’t wait to get the parts in to make it my own. Guess I’ll be staying here a while!

Welcome, or welcome back! I love that glossy gray color. Thank God the matte paint fad is hopefully going away.

I'm calling BS on the south Florida to The Appalachian Mountains thing, EVERYONE knows you can't do that on a Sportster, it's nothing but a bar hopper.

Nice bike, took a while but, the Industrial Gray color has grown on me.

It is a shame if you ask me. I absolutely LOVE the matte colors, however, I hate the fact that in two years, it usually looks awful. My first street bob was black denim and it looked terrible after a couple years. Its definitely not made for longevity.

Not going to lie... it was quite painful!! Thank God the 2.1 gallon tank forced me stop every 70-80 miles. Those breaks were MUCH needed! Hahaha. I probably would have been fine if I set it up for touring but at the time, all I had was the thin biltwell seat with no highway pegs or anything. It was amazing though!

I wasn't sold on the industrial gray at first either but the more I looked at it and thought about it, the more I liked it and realized that EVERYONE has a black Harley. I wanted something a little different. I think it'll really pop once I add the white walled tires.

I went Southeast to Virginia to Jacksonville FL on my Sporty as my first road trip. It was murder. First thing I did is bought a Mustang solo seat when I got back.
Touring is rough on a stock sporty for sure. I've gone back a few times after adding a seat and forward controls. It's much better now.

Nice bike!

Definitely not ideal for sure, but it can be done. I'm a little vein so I'll sacrifice comfit to have my bike looking the way I want it to. It really wasn't all THAT bad. Thank God for the 2.1 gallon tank as if forced me to stop often, which was MUCH needed every time.. LOL!
