High idle
I have a 2013 Iron 883. I took the air cleaner off the other day to give it a good spring washing. I had a rag in the throttle body butterfly and was careful not to get anything in there. Now it’s all put back together and I have a high idle. I seem to recall it doing this last time I had the air cleaner off for a changing. Does the computer recognize this & reset after a while?

This may not apply to a Harley but, on my BMW f650gs I have in Spain, the manual recommends if the idle is wrong to switch off, then turn on ignition without starting the engine, then fully open and close the throttle a few times so that the ECU recognises the throttle position at idle.
