ok, new to this forum, new to fuel injected harleys, have a 2008 sporty with stock head pipes, mufflers have 3/4 holes in baffle plugs, x14ied's, would like to change stock air filter to one of my own design, new element is 6 inch round, 2 inch tall paper style (napa gold # 2373 ), question is- would the x14ied's be enough to handle the slightly increased air flow and not run too lean
thanks in advance

I think I would send them an email, just like you posted here. They also have the variable model, which is what I have. http://sales.nightrider.com/vied.html. I do not see it on there web site by the search feature though. Kinda odd. I also see they no longer sell to individuals. Dealer only, and I bet it has to do with EPA.

I run a modified stock set of pipes as well, but like in this video

The front baffle is fully in tact this way, if it ever comes to question.

Again, check with them.

Oh forgot to mention, I also run the SE stage 1 intake with those pipes. If I adjust mine too high, it can make the plugs get to a very dark brown. Not black. I got to the dark brown stage and backed them off a hair. Am waiting to recheck after a couple more rides. You can adjust each cylinder independently as well to eliminate the rear from running hotter due to lean(er) fuel mix.
