I have a 2014 883 Iron Sportster. That the Jiffy stand is loose on. I replaced the Spring as well as the bushings and pin. It is still loose nothing looks bent or damaged. I would not worry to much but it is now to the point it drags the ground when turning left. It looks like a shorter spring will fix the problem, but the spring is pretty specialized with the rotating hooks on each end.
I was worried that the extra weight of the longer jiffy stand I installed would cause it to fall on rough roads. I epoxied a nichol sized rare earh magnet on the frame. Now with the stand up, it will not budge. That magnet holds it up tight, and its not visable at all.
That is great and I agree so do you have a stock number or a place I can contact. I know these idiots at my local HD Dealership will just give me dumb looks and say it is not in the catalog. Been through this type of thing before on another issue with my V-Rod.
Get a 4" spring at Home Depot. My kickstand was super floppy, not anymore! I have an extra one if you want it. No rotating hooks, but not necessary either.

When you say, "longer jiffy stand", do you mean the model of your Sportster has a longer one than usual, or did you replace the OEM stand? The reason I'm asking is that my Sportster leans WAAAAY over now that I've replaced my OEM Dunlop's with Metzeler's. The Metzeler's are the same OEM size, but you know how that goes. Just like car tires, if you line up several different brands of the same size tires, you will see a big difference. Anyway, my tires are taller and my bike leans so much now that I worry that it may fall over on the wrong terrain. Does a longer one exist?
