I have read, on here, a lot about the spring plate issue, and with my bike near 17K I am planning for a clutch in the not too distant future. Going with the extra plate and steel would be nice, but I also read a lot of folks saying they are grabby. Is there one out there that is NOT grabby? Low speed turns are tricky for me anyway and I don't need something to make it worse.
I installed the Energy 1 in mine. Not grabby. No squeal. I use Mobile synthetic.
It will tend to drag a little when cold (I think all of them will when you remove the spring plate), so it clatters a little going into first gear when cold. Less now using synthetic then when I was using H-D dino oil.
Other than the minor clatter, it's been a good setup.
