oh man after taking it for a ride i can definitely say im getting new bars lol my back was killing me with the forward controls and the stock bar
Maybe worth mentioning that with forwards I had the same problem , instant backache . So I switched to mid controls and it was better but the bike still gave me some backache . Well here's the good news, after 4000 miles of ownership the backache has gone ! So maybe it's a case of just giving your body time to adapt . For my part , it's bound to take time to undo twenty years of GSXR riding .
the forwards feel comfortable, i actually like them but i got a mustang wide seat and while it is also comfortable it raises me a bit and puts me a bit back so now i gotta reach more for the bars. The stock seat and mid controls didnt give me much of a back pain but i could not stand that seat after an hour of riding and the peg also got uncomfortable after an hour. I want to get bars closer to me but i hate the look of long bars or mini apes so i have to see what would feel and look best for me.
I buy as little as possible from the stealership, sorry to hear they scammed you. Now u know, ask here when you've got a problem. Some here are smart asses but 99% are willing to help and the knowledge here is infinite.
Smartass is an excellent language to speak. It keeps things on an even keel.
I used mine also but I unscrewed the scraper pins, if you get tired of looking at RH passenger peg mount you can order a master cylinder bracket for a solo bike and swap to clean it up if have not already done so. Nice bike
Took your advice got the bracket off an 883 for 10 bucks, looks much cleaner without the passenger peg.
