Default Fob

At the risk of another stupid question.........do you keep your seccurity fob attached to your key or in your pocket? They really didn't tell me when I bought Pearl but they put my keys on the security fobs.

I was wondering the same thing.
The owner's manual warns about getting the fob too close to a cellphone.I wear my phone on my belt.
Would the phone some how shut the ignition down ?? That sure could get interesting.

i keep mine fob in my pocket. this keeps it from rattling around when i ride. not sure about where the key goes on the sportys but with my dyna street bob, the key lock is on the front fork. if the fob break away from the key while riding, you might be screwed.

I keep my keys on the FOB and wear a cell phone on my belt - never had a problem in 2 years. I see no reason to separate the FOB from the keys, might forget to set the alarm if I just took the keys out, plus having them separated means having to remember to take the FOB when going for a ride...

I keep the FOB attached to the key all the time. Was a bit worried that it would rattle around when riding the bike, but this has not been a problem- at least not so far. With a proper keyring it won't break away during a ride either.

I have my fob on a quick detach, so when I am riding I put the fog in my pocket but when not it gets clipped to the key. I just dont want the fob swinging around and hitting the tank. And if you loose the fob while riding, other then loosing it, the bike wont shut down or anything.

I have 2 fobs; I keep one on the key rack at home, the other is in the sleeve pocket of my leather jacket, which I always wear while riding. I can usually just reach up and press the button w/o having to remove it from the pocket.

I like the idea of a quick release keychain; I'll be picking one up on my next store trip.
