Default Passing light question

For those that have passing lights on their sporty, where did you wire them in and what switch did you use? Is it a handlebar mounted switch, HD part?

Curious, cause they will be on my list of near future upgrades.

Those are the 2 large lights you see next to the headlight on touring bikes.

I see bikes with the larger extra lights at the front on all the time like running lights. Are they supposed to be switched so they are normally off?

If you say you flash them to let the person in front know you are passing them then or indicate you want them to pull over then you best not come to Europe as it is frowned upon. In Germany it gets you a fine.

If they stay on all the time like running lights then I guess you can use the power that you already have to your front turn signals. There is a 6 way block under the tank.

Ok, I guess would depend on amp draw of added lights. I believe most states want them so they are only on with low beams, but not positive on that.

Harley calls then auxilliary lights. Here's the kit, you can d/l the instructions and see about the switch.

Easier option would be to get some CD Probeams...probably not as functional, but adds LED to stock front signal housing so no wiring to mess with...
