Default Advice on DK Customs Risers

Hello to all. While visiting my local HD dealer, I found the perfect set up for me on the new Sportster 1200 with mini apes and the cafe style seat that it comes with. After doing a bit of research, I found the stock cafe racer seat, and installed a set of Biltwell Chumps mini apes. However, as soon as I sat down, I noticed I was not as comfortable as I was on the stock 1200 that I sat on. I was leaning a bit forward than I would like, something I didnt felt on the 1200. After a little more research, I found that the HD stock mini apes are 10 inch, and the Biltwell are 8. I have them at the most rearward position available. One option is to purchase the 10 bars from HD, the other is to install the DK Customs 2 inch riser extentions. My logic is the the extra 2 inches with the risers should, in theory, mimick a 10 inch bar, but Im not sure if it will give me the further pullback that I experienced with the stock 1200 mini apes. The risers cost around $40, new bars cost around $100. I would hate to spend the $40 on the risers, instal them, and find that it really didnt change the geometry of the bars. Can anyone offer any suggestions, or thoughts? Any input would be helpful. Thank you.

The DK Riser Extensions go on top of the top tree. The tree is at an angle, so it will continue that angle, back towards you. This puts the bars higher AND closer to you. With the 8" bars you have now, combined with the 2" Riser Extensions, it would be exactly like the bars you have now, being 10" instead of 8".
