I believe the 883 might have the speedo bracket as part of the clamp. If that's the case, I've got the same setup. Putting standard risers on this kind of setup would be tricky but not impossible. I'm sure your aware that you can get more pullback by using taller bars. It's quite common and you can still leave the clamp intact. Whether it be 'T' bars or apes they both look good on our bikes.
And, as TUCCI mentioned, I'm running mini-apes and have them pulled back toward me a bit.

I am running Riser Extensions on my Sporty...although they are "straight" because there is already an angle to the forks, they do put the mounting point of the bars further back.
And, as TUCCI mentioned, I'm running mini-apes and have them pulled back toward me a bit.
