Are there any tanks from other Harley models that are direct bolt on to an 02 Sportster XL883C? My tank has a dent in it from previous owner I'd like to get rid of.
I'm sure there are other Sportster tanks that will fit yours, there are others here who can help you with that. But why not just have the dent repaired?
Not sure but, I think the c came with the 3.3gal tank?? There are 2.2's and a 4 something as well...
I am Trading a 3.3 that need a small bit of Paint work.. as I want a 2.2... Gonna do it local tho, as Shipping will kill ya ...and probably Damage the Tank..Fix/run what ya gots till somebody local has what yer after.. Mybe Craigslist... or around here...that Faceplace market... My daughter in law can run that stuff!!!!
Your bike is a carb model, whereas that 2014 tank is for an EFI bike, which you really don't need - probably quite expensive as well. I deliberately bought a larger near new Harley tank, which was cheap because it had a small dent. I wanted it repainted and my painter fixed the dent free. Consider getting your dent fixed as nevil suggested?

Nice price. Now you can go more miles on that tank, although the peanut tank was the signature on 03 and earlier Sporties. I think the bigger tank came out in 04.
