with my suspension and all done only thing left to do is engine. gave them a call excellent on the phone as others have said
took time to make sure i got what i wanted and didnt try to upsell me anything. now just waiting
kit was very reasonable. as i just have a old carbed 883. just ur basic 1250 kit. pistons pre installed. even if you have experience doing piston rings for 40$ its well worth having hammer do it. full gasket set and 2000i ignition. i have jets and spark plugs so didnt need those. under 900$ shipped
Great fun!
Let us know you assembly trials and tribulations.
sure will. yes i am a powersports tech.. shhhh but not trained for HD's i work on everything from Aprilia, bmw, ducati to yamaha but as i told Dan at hammer im no expert always learning and never been inside any HD so i have the factory manual and all tools. the only thing that always sticks in my mind is working on older stuff is broken/stripped bolts. i would rather work on something new as everything comes apart and together so nice. rusted, corroded fasteners can make a job run long and suck
just update on order. ordered my basic 1250 conversion on monday of last week and it shipped on thursday havent received it yet. so they are getting caught up i imagine for those waiting to place an order
