I am getting mini Apes this weekend. (i think) my question to you is What all will i need to do this my self? will i need to make the brake likes, and all other cables longer? and what all tools will i need? Is this something i can do myself easily? or should i bring it to the dealer?
RE: Bars Question........wait. it is about install
12" or under you can keep your factory throttle/idle cables, clutch will need to be a +4 over, I believe. Brake lineneeds to be at least44" with a 45* connector at the master and a 90* at the caliper for a perfect fit.
EDIT: Just to prevent minor annoyances...hard mounting your risers is a good idea.

Also, for the wiring, you can use Brae connectors in place of soldering, make sure you shrink wrap EVERYTHING with bare metal on it.
When you clip the harness, use equal lengths of wire to splice and cut eachwire on the harness in a different spot. This will prevent a major bulge on the harness once you're done and if you run internally it won't make it impossible to pull them through. Also looks clean once you cover them.
