fuel injection noise

Sometimes when my nightster sits for a while and i turn the on switch to run and the fuel pump hums. that hum sometimes turns into a high pitched squeal. i'm just wondering if this is normal or if i should have it checked out?

Mine always makes nosie at first , but never get to a high pitched squeel.

Get it checked out. After its primed, you shouldnt hear it at all.

Mine does the same thing if it is low on fuel and has sat for a while too. Once it is filled up with fuel I hear nothing. ( It only does it occassionally tho)

Mine is a adverage hum or squeel never anything high pitch, makes a noise after ai **** it off for about 1 1/2 seconds and thats it.

Mine makes the normal hum for about 4-6 seconds to bring the system up to operating pressure then shuts off, you hear the same thing with most fuel injected cages.
The high pitch squeal is not normal though, I would be concerned with that.
