Installing Custom Dynamics Magic Strobe on 2018 48 Special
Hello guys,
trying to install CD magic strobe module on 2018 48 special. Module came with 3 loose wires and according to CD installation instructions it supposed to be tapped in between load equalizer and run-brake-turn module. Anyone knows where those 2 things are on 48? I tracked down the harness under the seat and it seems to go into the plastic box behind the rear cylinder and also seems that they might be on the oil tank side, but I need to figure out how to remove that box and before doing that would like to confirm that it is the right location. Pics below shows the plastic enclosure Im talking about.
Can anyone who knows where load equalizer and run brake turn module confirm?
Are you sure that will work on a 48???? I didn't think they would work with those tail/turn lights only with the large rectangular ones on the fender??

Well, I told custom dynamics guy year and model and that's the module he gave me and said it'll work as long as I tap into the brake signal wire before the run brake turn module. I just seem to be unable to locate the damn thing (run brake turn module) on the bike.
Interesting because I wanted one earlier and I'm pretty sure they told me it wouldn't work. Maybe they changed something so they will work now but I just looked on their site and I don't see it listed for your bike. I most certainly have been wrong before.
Ok I see it now, they didn't have them some time back when I was looking. What you have sure doesn't look like the one pictured on their site, I'd give them a call. I have had them before on different bikes and I think they are really great. Looks like I'll be getting another one now.
It does state you will need LED rear lights for it to work.

yes, I will call them to find out. Good luck with yours!
Hi @OscarN , that looks like one of our Universal Magic Strobes, which we sell for metric cruisers and older (pre-1997) Harleys. We do have a plug-and-play module for your bike (the Magic Strobes BCMXL) but that unit you have there is probably not going to function for you on your 2018 48. https://www.customdynamics.com/magic...portster?cat=2
