Received my progressive front fork cartridges today and will be getting them installed shortly.
my question is with regards to the number of preload spacers. I would like to have a slightly increased ride height and a more planted less vague ride. I planned to install 5 spacers instead of the 4 recommended by progressive.

any inputs on this aspect ?
The right way to set preload is to measure suspension sag with total weight of bike + rider and adjust preload accordingly, LOTS of info on the web on how to do it...
(but of course seek a credible source, some post DIY videos on YouTube, etc. and exude confidence but basically don't know WTF they are talking about ;-)

I did complete the install and had a short ride - the bike feels more planted and no wobbles at any speed .
I think I will play around with the rear settings and tyre pressure to get the best ride.
