To further complicate matters, H-D changed the design of the rods on these newer rubbermount bikes so the shifter rod and the brake pedal rod are no longer adjustable like the ones on the pre-2004 models. If you find the new replacement rods don't fit, DK Customs sells aftermarket rods with turnbuckle nuts on them. So, you may have to get aftermarket rods to replace your aftermarket controls. Gotta love H-D's engineering departments for fixing things that weren't broken. I had to have my brake pedal rod custom made because DK Customs hadn't made the replacement parts yet.
