Default How big a tire?
How big a tire fits on a 2004 model of a 1200c? The fit of the stock tire looks tight to the sides of the fender...

I dont know but I am getting ready to order my 200mm tire conversion kit for my 1200R.

If it;s the front tire the customs come with a narrow 21" rim and tire. I was told by a H.D. guy that you can go to a 19" rim and a 90-100 tire,it will fit a bit snug on the sides, and drop the front about 3/8" but he said it's notreally noticeable and you dont need to do any mods. He said with the wider tire on the front it will handel much better...

The handeling characteristics will be different with a wider front tire. You go too wide and you will have a problem with turning and balance.
