Default Not starting

I’m hopping someone can give me some advice here. I took my 2005 1200c out a couple weeks ago. Rode about 100miles no problems. Got home it sat and I went to start it the next day and just clicks. I just replaced the starter and starter relay this past weekend. It started. And then I finished putting my exhaust back on and now it just clicks again. The battery has a full charge and I actually just bought a new one and still just clicks. I cleaned all the connections even the ground on the frame and the ground on the back of the primary case. I’m absolutely stumped right now

It's 15 years old and nothing last forever. Do your homework before ya ask for help. Fully charged battery - what is the voltage? How old is the battery? Did you have the battery load tested? What is the battery voltage drop when ya hit the start button? Is it a single "click" or multiple "clicks?" Could be old battery, starter solenoid or starter relay. More information would be very helpful.

If you took a leaf out of your own book you would be aware that the fault has persisted with the addition of a new battery .

Sounds like your new starter is bad. If your battery is really good. Should be 12.6 volts minimum and remain above 9.6 when you hear click.

Check your cables, the ground at the motor sees a lot of vibration and movement, this is what I found on mine, check under the insulation..

Also, 1200's stock battery barley turns over below 50 degrees, I stepped up to a 440 cca battery and now it spins up real good in the cold.

I haven’t done a load test yet. I will try that tonight. Was thinking about looking behind the fuse box make sure those connections are clean and intact

I haven’t cracked the insulation open but they look decent. And the bike is in my dining room so temperature isn’t a problem haha. Doesn’t get below 65.

that’s what I’m beginning to think. I’m going to get on the phone with J&P cycles tonight and see if they will send me a new one

You need a DC volt ohm meter at minimum. Need to do your homework before going at J&P. Take it off. Put a positive jumper on the big lug from a car battery. Negative to frame of starter. Jump a small wire from the positive to the solenoid. It should jump out and run. If not, call J&P.
