In either case I think the clutch adjustment needs more care as you have increased the distance the clutch lever needs to be pulled to get disengagement. It might also require the free play in the cable to be closer to 1/16" than 1/8".

Sorry. I'm talking about a 2005 XL1200 Custom. I like the idea of not having to remove the primary cover. One person said it was a 20minute fix.

I agree but, too good to be true?
Especially at half the price?
I'm thinking I just need to grow Popeye arms and leave it alone. LOL

I used to believe that, but my '06 is so much easier to operate, I am going to try the easy-pull fix.

So, is it the general consensus then that only the Muller power clutch works as it should or they all work about the same?
This thread seems to be mostly speculation and not what exactly has been tried and works.
They all have good advertisements and most seem to center around the inner plate with the hook on it or the ramp piece where the bearings go.
Some look cheap as if it will break easily.
Is there a true recommendation as to which one (s) works and will last?
The other thread is almost the same as this in that it says this will work if but this one might do the same thing. Confusing.

My partner has the Clutchlite which is just the bearing ramp. I got the XX-Soft which according to Clutchlite gives a 40% reduction in clutch pull. She reported it made a good difference over the stock bearing ramp.

The quality look to the casting is the same as the Muller. Both come from Germany. I wouldn't be surprised if one company was formed from a departing employee of the other.

I can recommend the Clutchlite.

Midpegs can recommend the Muller as his bike had it when he bought it.

You pays your money and takes your choice. Both work.

I figured that Ł33 was better than Ł133. If the low cost one didn't work I could get the more expensive one.

And 0 is even better If there is no health conditions requiring easier clutch, after month of riding, the stock clutch appears not so hard anymore.

Yep, mine is stock and so far I don't find it a heavy pull.
