I am wondering if anyone can tell me a part number or what to look for? I have a 2016 Sportster 1200 Custom. I bought a LED tail light to replace the factory setup. This tail light will blink left and right with the turn signals. The directions say I have to splice into the turn signal wires to get it to work. Can anyone tell me if there is any sort of adapter or harness made so I don't have to do that. If so do you know where to get it and part number.
Under the tail light you will find two connectors for the left and right turn signals / indicators. You will also see the connector for the rear light. You could fashion some form of connector in there.
How long are the wires on the new lamp?
I would go to the connector(s) under the seat and create a connector system such that I could put the bike back to stock if required.
I would create a y lead so that the existing connector can be plugged in and a new one specifically for the rear lamp.
There is a rubber conduit under the mudguard to route the cables to the rear lamp.
