Hello everyone,
I attempted to install a Moons MC LED tail light on my 07 Super Glide last night. When i turned the battery on only the white lights to illuminate my license plate came on. When i started the bike the tail light came on however it had a constant flash. The integrated turn signals worked as they were supposed to and did not hyperflash, but the tail light flashed even when I was not pulling the brake lever. I installed a custom dynamics smart load equalizer thinking that was the issue, however it didnt make it any better. I attempted running it with both the normal and high load settings on the equalizer.
My thoughts at this point were a loose wire or something of that nature. I took the LED tail light off and reinstalled the stock incandescent bulb tail light which fixed the flashing issue.
I got the tail light from a friend who had it installed on his bike (we swapped tail lights because he prefers the stock style). The moons tail light worked fine on his even after we discovered the issue on mine, leading me to think its an issue with my bike and not his light.
Plug and play is about the extent of my electrical knowledge so Im not entirely sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

If the tail light is meant to flash when braking, but it stays flashing when the break is off, you may need to oil the break plunger on the fluid reservoirs. When applying the break, the plunger applies pressure to the break fluid to activate the break pads and switches on the break light,. If the plunger does not return all the way, the break pads may disengage, but the break switch might stay on. Oiling the plunger with some break fluid will help it return fully. Also, I know some of the Moons MC lights have the ability to turn of the flash/strobe.
