2001 soorty 1200 , I have a bad ignition. Mode, on my old one there is black,white ,green, purple,and pink wires . On my compufire replacement there is red, which is not on my old wire plug, then green black white and thats it. So leaves me with red on the new compufire and purple and pink on the old plug. Any idea what I need to do for the wires ??
The 5th wire missing from the Compu Fire ignition module is likely the VOES wire, or the bank angle sensor wire, my money would be it's the BAS wire. Did the new ignition unit come with instructions for wiring and static timing?
Stock ignition wire functions:
Black [ground]
White [+12V power to module/coil]
Green [bank angle sensor wire]
Purple [VOES wire]
Pink [ignition signal wire]
Discovered there is a Crane Cam h1-4 installed. So anyway finally got it started however while it's running there's a backfire or cough like sound from the carburetor every few minutes but continues to running. What causes this? Video of it running was to large to post
