Jammed Starter. .??
My sons 01 Sportster seems to have a stuck/jammed starter. My guess is he hit the start switch while in gear and brake on.
Key on, no lights, no starter reaction.
pull brake….headlights on, neutral and oil light on, hit start and the starter clicks and buzzes.
Tried pushing while in gear and rear tire is locked up
Thought I should post this and see if anyone has any magic up their sleeve before I start taking things apart

I wouldn't worry about the starter motor just yet . I'd be more concerned about the fact that you need to pull the brake to turn the electrics on . Have you jet washed it recently ? Water in a multi pin connector can do some very strange things . Until I tracked it down , I was able to switch my bike on and off with the horn button at one point .
