Won't start issue...
I've got an 06 1200XLC, I was riding it to work the other day and it had backfired a couple of times, miles apart from each other. Then the motor shut off on me.
It will turn over but not start, here's what I have figured out so far:
1. With the intake off I can see fuel getting shot into the carb when I twist the throttle.
2. I'm unable to produce a spark at the plugs, either turning over the engine to try and start it or using the coil test method from sportsterpedia.
3. The check engine light never comes on when the key is turned on.
4. Battery and fuses good.
5. 12v at coil connector.
I find it hard to believe that the ICM and Coil would go out at the same time, any ideas or suggestions?
