Fuel range
Has the 4.5 gal tank.
My math tells me that she should be able to go approx 180 miles to empty.
We are consistently doing 2.5gal in 115-120 miles….45-46mpg...The fuel light is on at that point....My manual says 1.2 gal is reserve...Sooo 2.5+1.2???..Just curious if others hit light around 115...
4.5 - .8 = 3.7 Roughly what you are experiencing if you were to run it dry. I'm assuming this is fuel injected, I'm not looking it up to be sure.
3.7 x 45 mpg = 166 / 3 = 55 so 2/3 tank is 110/115 and light should come on. Sounds just like what your describing.
btw, that's some AL math from a fellow Alabamian (relocated to TX though!

We went for a ride yesterday, 200+
95% curvy country roads. 60-70mph
The fuel light came on at 115. By 130 it was on consistently.
Put 2.8 gallons in the bike for that 130 miles.
You got the higher edumacation maph…LOL
Mine, 130/2.8 = 46.4
This tells me I had another 1.7 gallons left in the tank.
Calling it safe leaving 1.5, then 1.5 x 46 = 69
130+69=199
Just feels odd pushing our luck once the fuel light comes on LOL
She was not having any of the gambling that I was playing yesterday at 1:30. Her exact words was if “you don’t put gas in it then I will”…. she works LOL
She’s been early her whole life😂😂
Born four weeks early
Started racing dirt bikes at 7
I started letting her drive around the neighborhood one block at a time at 11 and 12
By the time she was 13 she was driving me 35 miles one way to the office.
By 14 I was comfortable to do it asleep
Started working a real job at 15.
At 15 she was on the first street bike
She’s been working at Chick-fil-A now for over a year.
I mean it with all my heart, I do not worry about her at all.
She can ride the **** out of anything on two wheels and she’s a wonderful driver.
Being truthful all of that was mostly for me. I’ve never liked the idea of taking a 15 year old that is just gotten their drivers license and putting them behind the wheel on main roads With lots of other vehicles.
Started slowly in an empty movie theater parking lot.
Seriously, by the time she was on main roads I was comfortable enough to let her go alone.
Just wanted to give her the best shot possible of making it out of her teen years without an automobile accident, and keeping me sane.
We spent the last three hours of our ride yesterday an awful rain.
She was ready.
Not sure if I’m succeeding, but my goal is to get her “life ready “
I hope she never has to depend on a man to make it through life. I’d love to see her make her own way and then add a nice gentleman if she chooses, not add one because she can’t pay her bills 😂
I have that same speedo and I like it. The added fuel sensor seems to be a bit more accurate than the float. What I like about the speedo is the miles-to-empty, the fuel guage, and gear indicator, and the tach is pretty cool. You could always do a test ride on the fuel range. Carry a gal of gas with you on your next ride and let her ride until she runs out. I did that with mine and I did 215 miles before the bike started to sputter. The motor was stock then, but I have a stage I now, so the mileage is a bit less.
I believe the Low has mid-controls. I switched my Custom to mids and put hwy pegs in the forward position to stretch out on the long rides.
(I had a gallon in my saddle bag for this range test)
Your daughter is gonna love that bike
