No, your exhaust will fit. The 1250/1275 kit is just larger pistons, but the cylinders are exactly the same outside dimensions, so intake and exhaust ports will match original parts. Of course, you can always add a custom exhaust.
Depending on what year your bike is, you may need more or less to do the conversion. Technically, I did not have to upgrade my ignition, only adjust it. But, to get the best out of the kit, I purchased an aftermarket ignition module. I did not need a new clutch diaphragm like '04 and up bikes. So, my total 1250 upgrade cost just over $800 parts from Hammer. YMMV.
