Guys, I've searched diligently. All the writeups I can find on overriding your security alarm system or resetting the code include a step to turn the ignition key on. So I'm hoping to get someone with Sportster knowledge to help me out. My '21 Iron 1200 has only the on/off kill switch on the handlebar. No switch for the ignition. So, I can't perform all the steps I've found so far. My key only operates the handlebar lock.
My dealer didn't give me an owner's manual, and I'd like to get this number changed.
Can you point me to an existing write up? Or, if not, can you supply a short write up in response?
All the information is in your owner's manual which is available from the HD service info portal -https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson.com/sip/vehicle/lookupForm
With keyless ignition you obviously need a working fob to see what the current pin code is.
Cycle run switch on-off-on-off-on
Press left indicator button 2 times
Press right indicator button 1 time
See current pin code in display.
The first digit will be flashing and you can use the left button to change it. Then press the right 1 time to advance to next digit.
When you have changed all 5 digits turn the bike off.
The instructions make it seem you leave a gap between first cycle of on to off but you don't.
...snip....

According to another thread, you just bought this bike yesterday (Thursday?). If that is the
case you should go back to the dealer and get an owners manual and perhaps a free T-shirt
for your trouble (since they should have given you an owners manual to begin with)

just an opinion,
T.
I think you're right. TBH, I purchased during a larger event. At the point I signed my paperwork, they had sold about 60 bikes. They were running us through like cattle through a chute.
FWIW, I used the manual on my ‘16 and it didn’t help. I called the dealer and they said they have to set it first with their computer. They set it for me yesterday when I was in for my forward controls installation.

You having the same problem as the OP ???? What didn't help.
