I take a lot of night rides her in Los Angeles. It is nice to not have much in the way of traffic. I also enjoy the day and am extrememly used to insane amounts of traffic. I say go for it. I ride nearl\y every night.

Absolutely.....being a professional musician for so many years + working a few night shift jobs in the early days, I am basicall 1/2 nocturnal. When everyone else passes out for the night, and I'm wide awake, a voice starts calling me almost like a whisper saying......."Jay...........Jaaaayyy.......C'mon bud.....it's ride time!" You never really know just how loud your pipes are til youblast out of a quiet country town at 1a.m. when you can normally hear a pin drop a block away!!!! Oh yea!

I have had chances to head out around 11pm-1am but I just bought my house a month ago and dont want to **** the neighbors off to much. But I am almost to the point of not caring and just firing it up.

I ride a lot at night. I have a part time job that lets me off at 0100, and I ride home then. In Illinois every rural road and highway is potentially a deer highway. Of note, the worst times are late in the fall, around the last week of october, when the deer are going into rut, and the farmers are running combines all night long, pushing the deer around as they chew thru their bedding and feeding areas....Cages, even during day time hours, I drive defensively, treat everyone as it's out to get me, probably if they knew me, they would be...so I drive accordingly..

I have managed to stay alive riding for 40 years not hitting anything at night. Seems like the odds are in my favor. I have ridden several times at night. I prefer not to.
