carb leaks
02 XLH 883 stock 21,000 miles carb is leaking from the over flow tube on carb I recently replaced the petcock, no vacuum plugged that a long time ago,however when I turn on fuel from petcock it starts leaking does not leak while driving?
Is this a vacuum leak issue or float issue?? Thanks in advance

It's able to keep up running. However, not a good idea however. Nor is removing the vacuum petcock.
Now you know why you should always turn off fuel. And Harley even says to do vacuum one . Harley's old single diaphragm one can go bad.
For those who do keep it. Pull a vacuum ever oil change on it. It needs rebuilt if it leaks. It can pull fuel into manifold leaking.
Newer ones have a double diaphragm. They don't leak.

I did change out the VOES petcock for a standard, it works great however upon taking the carb apart the float was stuck makin the gas hit the overflow
