There is a method for load testing the battery without removing it.

yes, I did test the original regulator and the numbers were bad. Changed out regulator and it worked for a little while and happened again. Returned the regulator, installed old one and was good for a while and back to not charging. Something I noticed the other day was the regulator being warm. Not sure if that is normal.

It did at first but now that the lights are on, it shows it being a bad regulator. It did the same thing when I replaced the regulator. Worked and tested good but than it stopped charging my battery again.

The old one did not magically start working again. Something else is funny. Bad connection. I don't know.
What brand of parts?
