We are camping at the beach at Morro Bay, CA. Noticed a fellow biker tent camping, so I strolled over to chat. Turns out he is from the UK, sorry didn't get specifics, don't want to get to nosey, and he is riding a BMW F800. Flew it into Alaska, and will ride to Panama, Central America. His name is John, and don't know much more about him, but wondered if that was enough for someone that might, by chance, know him.
Seems a likable fellow, and loved to chat. He's been several months on the road, so probably doesn't get into too many conversations, so liking to chat is almost mandatory. Lol.
Hes a nice chatty chap, but you didnt want to get nosy? Sounds more like you are from NYC.
Nah, its simpler than that. I have a cracked vertebrae, L5 to be exact, and it hurts to stand in one spot too long. I enjoyed talking with him, probably chatted 15-20 min, but my back couldn't take any more. Am not snobby. He told me ha had also ridden the TAT trans America trail, that runs from TN to OR, mostly off road. Has also gone thru Africa, so the fellow gets around. The bike LOOKED like it had done every mile he claimed, too.
