Default Sport shield or Fly screen for Iron 883?

Let me start off by saying that, I've done some searching around the forum for a guide/pointer of sorts to help me decide on a windshield/windscreen or my Iron 883. I came across a thread from 2018, I believe but there wasn't enough pro's and cons to which is the better choice between a sport shield and a fly screen. I'm referring to the Memphis Shades Del Rey sport shield and the Dart fly screen. I do like the Memphis Shades Del Rey because it seems like it would provide better wind coverage but, I don't want something that may take away the sleekness of the Iron. I do like the Dart fly screen as far as looks and, I think that it accentuates the Iron well. I know it comes down to preference but, I really don't want to ruin the look of my motorcycle. With that said, I would like to hear what you like or dislike about the Memphis Shades Del Rey sport shield and the Dart fly screen. Thanks!

FWIW I don't like either....style-wise.

Your post answers the question:
Memphis takes away from the sleekness but has better wind protection.

Yet, from your writing, it seems style is the deciding factor.
Dart by default.

Have fun with your decision.

Well it does sound like I've made a decision, doesn't it. I was hoping that, I would hear from some folks that has had each of these on their bikes. But guess not, oh well. Thanks Kenny94945!

A while back a riding buddy bought the Flyscreen but didn't like it. He wanted me try it to see if I liked it, but I ended up getting the detachable H-D shield. I wanted something more substantial in wind protection on the long rides and higher speeds.

I have to say the install was super easy and the mounting brackets were very unobtrusive. It's a bit smaller than the Memphis Shades and the MS bracket is humongous compared to the Flyscreen. As mentioned, for the sleekness you're wanting the Flyscreen is the better choice.

This is a National Cycle Flyscreen. Without it on the highway I could do 70 mph before feeling like I was getting blown off the bike. With the screen it's about 77mph, so it gives "some" protection.

I like the way it looks, so wind protection is the trade-off. Pretty easy install, so you could go with a flyscreen and a detachable shield, depending on the ride/ time of year.
I'm keeping an eye out for a used HD detachable shield, just to have the option.

I have the Memphis Shades Rio Grande on my Dyna. I'm 5'5" tall and I can still look over the top of it. The Del Rey is 6 inches shorter than that. I spent a bunch of time thinking about it and ultimately bought the Rio Grande because I figured I could either adjust it or just buy another windshield if I didn't like it. I couldn't be happier and have seen no need to do that. The Rio Grande is not a touring windshield like you'd see on a road king. It is narrower and I still get good airflow in hot weather. Obviously it's even better in the cold and wet.

I had the Harley sport windshield on my Sportster and I always liked it, but the Memphis is better, because it doesn't attach to the handlebar at all. If I wanted to remove it, I could as well, but I've seen no reason to do that since I've had it.

I installed the H-D bikini fairing on my 2011 XL883N, it suits my style of riding just fine and dandy.

Thank you all for your help! I decided that function is better than aesthetics, so I went with the Memphis Shades Del Rey. It doesn't look as out of place as I thought.
