Just rock it a little or let out the clutch a little in first then select neutral. All Harleys are a little hard to find it.

Thanks for all your help. I will try all the suggestions and in reply to the question about what I did my test on, you right it was a Jap bike.

Sounds like you have been given some good advice. Sometimes I have the same problems with my bike. I think that sometimes I just get into a hurry and miss neutral. I think that it just takes a little getting used to, but I feel that the more that you ride, the easier that it will get. Good luck
