Hey ya'll. I am sure there are others in my situation and just curious if its doable. I have a 2016 Sportster 883 that is soon to come out of the shop. I live in an Apt complex and they won't let me do anything to hook up a tender to the battery (even though a junction box exists within 3 feet to the bike) I was thinking I could just equip a battery cutoff switch and save the battery when I cannot ride. Can a bike with a computer like mine be ok doing that? The only other solution i can think of would be to remove the battery every week or so and hook it up inside. Thoughts? If there is an easier way and i am missing it, let me know.

disarming the alarm and pulling the maxi alarm like Andy from Sandy said is the correct answer.
are you experiencing a parasitic drain? or are you located in a cold climate? cold weather will drain a battery whether it's connected to anything or not. when i bought my last AGM battery, the salesperson said any temp below 50degF can cause the battery's capacity to be reduced, obviously the colder you get the more reduced the battery's capacity will be.
The OP has a 2016 bike that has a BCM, ECM, left and right hand control switch modules and speedometer that are always powered so yes the bike puts a constant drain on the battery.

So pulling the fuse wont cause any issues other than resetting to clock on the speedo. Would it create any issues to the computers or modules losing power like that? I live in Arizona so its not the cold, its just the sitting there not being ridden on a daily basis like I used to.
I only have experience on a 2008 that has the ECM. I pulled the power as I was converting it to a trike. After 6 months I switched it back on without any problems at all.
I don't envisage a problem with the BCM either not being powered for days at a time but direct experience only a few hours when working on the bike.
