Default What brands make super tall Sportster shocks?

So far I've only found 13"-14" shocks for a '07 XL1200C. I'm 6'9" and have figured out that the stock shocks need to go. Any recommendations for me?

I also want to make the front end stand a little taller, but also make my ride a little more comfortable. What fork springs should I go with?

Lots of brands out there making decent hardware. It's tough to pour through them all. I'm hoping someone out there has done something similar and can make search a little easier.

Thanks!

G. Nicholson

You may want to consider a different seat also, that is taller.

Maybe you may already know, but you will reduce caster, raise steering head angle (steeper) and this will have an impact on the riding stability. Don't know if it is possible to extend or replace the slider tubes with the right size.
The others thing will be, what about your legs if the bike is rolling? Did you already changed the food position?

If there are no regulation in your country about the bike parts, the longest shocks are from the HD XR1200. Premium shocks could be bought from Oehlins or Wilbers. Expensive but best in class, as far as I know. You could try to get in touch with the companies, wilbers is able to buidl custom shocks for you.

Welcome to the forum. Dunno, but not sure if you're gonna be comfy on that Sporty after the changes.

If you go much beyond 14" shocks you will run into clearance and belt issues. The Harley SE fork kit pn 45400176 raises the front about an inch, includes cartridges, and can be adjusted for the riders weight, I installed one years ago and am very happy with it. An extended reach seat (like from Drag Specialties) is a big help for taller riders too.
It took all that to make my Sportster fit me right and I'm only 6'1"

For the rear 14–14.5 is about all you can go.
Up front —replace the fork dampers.

I just put on some Burly Stilletto shocks, 13". They also come in 15". I had stock 13.25" so insignificant change to geometry. They seem to work fine for me, better than stock (and not rusty) over lumps and bumps.

Progressive 413 shocks are available in 15" (381mm) long, the part # is (413-4039B).

There are 15.75" (400mm) shocks available for metric off road machines, they could be adapted to fit a Sportster.

I remember in the 1990's, a buddy of mine who is 6' 7", used to zip around on an MZ TS150.
