I got a voltage regulator off ebay that " fits your bike" ,a 1976 XLH, kick and electric start. They are virtually identical except on the back the new/ spare has only 2 resistors, the old one has 3 resistors. I can't see any numbers on either one. Has the older part been superseded by the 2 resistor version or is this just the wrong part! Old one Spare
Ebay might have some good deals, but not the best place to find good parts. Why replace 46 year old technonogy with 46 year old replacement? Get an electronic regulator and simplify the system. Look closely at my 77 photo. Generator replaced with alternator and an electronic regulator. I've been running this for 6 years trouble free.
