Anyone run drag bars this narrow? The top bars are what I run now with 5" risers. They're 28" wide with 2" pullback. They're great and I'll run these again if the shorter bars don't work out. The bars I want to run are the bottom bars. They're 23.5" wide with 4" pullback. They're super thick stainless steel. Anyone running drag bars this narrow? Clearence will not be an issue for me but I am wondering how they will handle on uneven road, potholes, low speed.
They're from seven sins choppers. No dimples, no holes, just thick stainless bars. I am using Posh mini switches so I needed bars that have no dimples or holes drilled and they need to be thick gauge steel as the holes are a bit on the large side for the Posh toggle switches. I am just improving on my current setup as now I am a little better at electrical. I am going to run all the wires through the bars.
this is my current settup.
I am going with a much better switch for the blinkers which has built in led turn indicators and wires through the bars. I am also adding a kill switch and moving the key to the rear of the bike under the battery tray. I think what I am envisioning will be very clean with the bar end mirrors. Basically all the fuctionality of the stock switches on bars that look like they have no switches. I may do a write up of the whole front end (redneck springer) install as I have not found a great source of information on properly installing a springer front end on a sportster.
