Default QUICK help needed

Long story short....my Nightster got bumped off phase 1 so I found a killer deal on 2007. Im picking it up tomorrow. I have V&H short shots waiting to go on it. The bike is stock right now....do I NEED to tweak the stock map if I'm only running the new pipes? Im ordering the Power Commander and a new air filter this week...I just happened on this bike so I don't have all of it yet but I still want to throw my pipes on. The bike is already broken in and just had the 1k service done.

Thanks.

you should be able to run the slipons without needing to tweek the map.but make sure you do when you install the air cleaner

These are actually full pipes. But leaving the stock A/C on, I'm hoping they aren't going to flow enough to lean the engine out.

Full V&H Short Shots pipes on a 2007 could be a problem because of the EFI. The injection system's oxygen sensor is in the exhaust pipe not too far from the cylinder (front, I believe)...

There are two O2 sensors, one on each header pipe.

I stand corrected!

Personally, I'm not a fan of liquid-cooled enginesor EFI.
