16-20 Sportster 48 owners.. Help
Im in the process of doing my 2nd 49mm fork conversion on another XL1200c.
1st time around I bought a 48 front end and wheels. Everything went together as it should.
This time around, Ive only been able to find a 48 triple tree, so I picked up some 49mm Street Bob, single caliper forks and unknown Softail model 16 x 3 wheels. The axel, wheel and forks do not work together.. Im assuming its the 48 triple tree.. (?) ( not wide enough for axel/wheel)?
Im thinking I Need a wide glide or Street Bob triple tree, to get things to align properly..
In the meantime, if I can get a few pics of the sliders, axel, wheel & spacers, Im wondering if theres that much of a difference between Street Bob lowers and 48 lowers..? Maybe its as simple as swapping sliders..?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Wheel wont center, and no room for supplied wheel spacers
Right side of hub touches slider

Thank you for the measurements, I really appreciate it!
I should have been more clear. I was referring to the tube center distance in the trees.
I think my next move is to get Sportster 48 Fork sliders, and a 48 front wheel. All these parts were readily available on eBay and here in the marketplace a few years back. Now Im lucky to have found the triple tree, but thats as far as my luck has taken me.

I have the info I needed, so no need for the 48 pics.
Thank you, to those that have posted.👍
