You can only go 95 miles and the light comes on? That doesn't seem right to me.
The 2008 here having been converted to a trike has added 200 lbs to its weight. It has a 4.5 US gallon (17 litre) tank and will do around 120 miles before the low level light comes on.
I guess it is down to how they are ridden and the setup. The one here is stock.
My 2017 is slightly modified with Khrome Werks slip-on mufflers and SE air cleaner and it will go around 150 miles before the light comes on.
The light comes on at the 12 litre mark which is ~3.2 US gallons.
I am getting around 12.5 miles per litre and you are getting 9.5 which is quite a difference, IMO.

Once upon time I used my Sporty for commute, 115 miles round trip, cruising 60-65 MPH.
All stock my mileage was constantly 52-53 MPG.
Then I replaced the ECU with Thundermax and my mileage jumped to 60 MPG.
Next was N4 cams, MPG dropped to 48-50.
In any case, 95 miles with 4.5 tank ... maybe going over 90 all the time?
'14 1200, 2.1 gallon, about 60 miles. Usually takes about 1.3 to 1.4 gallons to refill. When the bike is left in the hot garage for a few days, there seems to be a little evaporation so it comes on sooner and the mileage calculates to be less. After 50 miles any good gas station gets my attention.
My carbed '05 gets ~43 for this type riding, and the fuel injected '08 gets ~36mpg. I just don't want to run it too low on fuel so the pump is sucking air, and damage something. Suppose I could hold off til 125 miles.
2011 XL883N, 3.3 US gallon tank (2.8 UK gallons), Python 2.5 slip-on mufflers, Rough Crafts ribbed air intake, 110 miles before the low fuel light illuminates, around 52 miles per UK gallon.

05 1200c with 4.5 tank screaming eagle pipes and super sucker breather I go to about 140 before switching to reserve. In town riding. Nothing over say 55.

Its not possible to self tune a bike and get more mileage per many in this site. /S
You can only get raw horsepower backed by a piece of paper that shows one can outrun any other bike with Harley on tank. /S
Seriously tho, this cat has something wrong but could stand to so his own mileage calculation to determine if its the bikes algorithm apparatus, the engine has a problem or its his right hand.
Owners manual says low fuel light on with 1 gallon remaining. Tank lift? And the claimed mpg is a figure I've never come close to obtaining. Must be filling up at the top of Pikes Peak and again at the bottom.
